Complaint Letter to Principal about Coach

In schools and colleges, coaches are hired that give training to students and enrich them with skills such as playing piano, singing, or playing any kind of game. Coaches are required to follow disciplinary codes of conduct and ensure that they fulfill their duties with honesty. Some coaches cannot do so and fail to deliver well. The principal receives a complaint against the coach when the coach does not meet the expectations of his/her trainees.

What is the complaint letter about the coach?

This is a formal letter that students write to the principal of the institute to let him know that the coach has not been performing well or meeting the expectations of people. When you write this letter, don’t lie and remain truthful so that you don’t have to feel embarrassed later.

How to write a complaint letter that works?

The purpose of the complaint letter varies from situation to situation. In some cases, this letter enables the trainee to claim a refund or fee or correct the behavior of the coach for the future. Therefore, you need to write a letter that has the potential to render fruitful results. Below are some tips to be followed:

Keep it to the point:

In general, the letter written to the principal is formal and it includes the total word count of not more than 300 words including the letterhead. The principal does not have time to read long stories. Even if you have an incidence to explain, try to explain it briefly so that the length of this complaint should never exceed more than a page.

Explain your complaint:

Writing a letter to protest when your instructor is not giving you enough attention or is unable to teach necessary skills is not easy. There is so much that needs to be cautious about before you write the criticism. As soon as you start the letter, mention the name of the trainer and then write the complaint. Make sure that the complaint you make is genuine and makes sense. Writing the complaint requires you to remember the following points:

  1. Try to remain respectful towards the coach
  2. Don’t use abusive language just to show your discontent
  3. Make sure that you are aware of the policies of the school regarding the coach and his coaching
  4. Address the principal with respect and write the complaint in such a way that the principal can easily understand it.

Tell what you want:

Writing a complaint always has a purpose. When you write against the coach, also let the principal know what you want out of this letter. Be clear about it so that you can reap fruitful results from it.

Keep your identity hidden:

Many people don’t like to reveal their identity as they fear they might end up offending the trainer. If you want, you can mention your identity and ask the principal to not reveal it at any cost.

Subject: Complaint letter against the coach [X]

Respected Sir/Madam,

This letter is being written to make a complaint about Mr. Johnsons who is the opera coach of my son. There is no doubt that Mr. Johnson is a very talented and hardworking trainer. However, he has been behaving very rudely with my son. Not only my son but other students are also being affected due to such behavior.

I believe that no coach in this world should act like this as the coach generally sets examples for his trainees with his conduct. I am keeping this letter anonymous so that no one can trace it back to me. I would like to ask you to look into this matter and investigate thoroughly. I am keeping my identity anonymous as the message is more important than the identity of the person conveying the message.

If you want to talk to me about this matter any further, feel free to contact me at (mention your phone number).

Regards.
